Good progress on South Paray wharf

We’re making good progress on the construction of the South Paray domestic wharf terminal in the Vanuatu capital of Port Vila. The new terminal will strengthen interisland connectivity and enhance shipping services to the outer islands.

All the piles in the ramp and platform areas and the ramp precast beams and panels have been placed. Regional Manager Pacific Mark Plant says the revetment works have also been completed, with some specialist assistance from the wider BPC team. “We’re moving forward with placing and pouring the ramp deck, placing the precast beams on the platform, and placing and pouring the insitu ground side beams along the platform.”

We’re delivering the South Paray domestic wharf terminal for the Government of Vanuatu through the Vanuatu Project Management Unit (VPMU), under the Prime Minister’s Office Portfolio.
