Parental leave policy

We are proud to offer a market-leading parental leave policy which supports our people when they welcome a new addition to their family.

As a primary carer on parental leave you will receive your normal pay for 26 weeks, or you can opt to receive 50% of your normal pay for 52 weeks. Secondary carers receive four weeks’ paid leave.

We know the return to work comes with challenges, so we also offer a flexible return to work, where primary carers can work 80% of their normal hours for full pay, for their first six months back. We have also introduced an extra 5 days of ‘new parent leave’ to ease the transition.

The policy is gender neutral – recognising that modern families come in all forms, giving the flexibility to tailor leave to your individual circumstances.

The four weeks off work were invaluable, allowing me to support my family without worrying about work.
