Amanda Byrne, 2025 NAWIC Awards finalist

Congratulations to BPC’s Amanda Byrne, selected as a finalist in the National Association of Women in Construction NZ (NAWIC) 2025 Excellence Awards.

Amanda is a highly respected People and Performance Business Partner with a particular passion for developing practices and programmes that support greater diversity in the construction industry.

After joining the industry in 2015 and learning of the challenges faced by women, Amanda established our Women in Construction network. She has led initiatives across BPC and Fletcher Construction that make a significant practical difference to our female team members, especially appreciated by those working on project sites.

Amanda helped develop compulsory unconscious bias training for managers, which benefits all our team members across many different backgrounds and cultures. She’s now working on a pilot programme to give our site-based staff some flexibility in working arrangements.
