Storming ahead

BPC’s Central Region team continue to make good progress building a stormwater structure on the Waikato River to support the forecast need for 13,000 new houses in Cambridge by 2050. The outfall structure is being built for the Waipā District Council to take stormwater from future developments.

Project Manager Mike Francis says the precast panel wall stitch joints have been completed, along with the Tecco Mesh installation. “The soil nails and horizontal bore drains are complete, as well as the box culvert sealant application, and we’ve done 75% of the rip rap.”
