Innovative winners

BPC’s innovation, efficiency, and engagement were all highlighted by the Bay of Plenty Civil Contractors New Zealand Awards judges in selecting our Brett Heaven Coromandel cyclone repair project as the Category B winner.

“To deliver a very demanding project below budget and ahead of schedule always attracts attention,” the judges said. “Brian Perry Civil brought innovative methodologies to ensure minimised risk and disruption. Smart redesigns, efficient planning, tight cost control, and excellent communication left a delighted client and a great-looking product.”

Over six months the team constructed a 13m high MSE wall to secure the slip face and SH25 above. The wall is 12m wide at the base and 22m wide at the top.

We’re also celebrating Higgins winning the Supreme Award for the Rangiuru Bridge project. BPC worked with Higgins to construct the overbridge for the SH2 Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road interchange. Our team installed eight 33m long 70t precast Super-T concrete beams using 350t and 300t cranes to tandem lift the beams.
