Going for GOLD

Our annual GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) event has once again been a great success, being attended by 16 team members from our Central Region and Ground Engineering teams.

It’s the third year the event has been organised by Natasha Jokhan and Ben Ackerman, who instigated the programme to support young team members and build their professional and personal skills. This year engineers William Adams and Fatima Atonio helped plan the event, along with Katrina Chantler.

Participants gave presentations about aspects of their current projects during the two-day event. Guest speaker Andy Alagappan talked about the future of planning using AI and other technologies. Kylie Bourke from Higgins talked about overcoming barriers in her career, and Andrew Hills discussed Geotech tools and investigations information.

Team building activities, designed by Ross Merrett, were also introduced this year.
