BPC's 'Ofa Halatanu wins NAWIC Rising Star award
Congratulations to the exceptional group of women who represented Fletcher Construction at the National Association of Women in Construction NZ - NAWIC awards over the weekend. A special shout-out to BPC Site Engineer 'Ofa Halatanu who won the award for Rising Star – site based. Her manager Amit Chaudhary was at the ceremony to support ‘Ofa, and says the award was extremely well deserved. Amit says the former graduate is a really hard worker, and she offers a lot of support to her team outside of the site too.
Higgins’ Shaheen Mangera was highly commended in her category of Excellence in Construction Administration. We were also represented by wonderful finalists Carla Verryt (Student Excellence Award), Emmolina (Momo) May (Rising Star - site based), Rebecca Staples (Rising Star - office based) and Tanya Sundnes (Outstanding Leader of the Year - office based).
Congratulations to our winners and nominees, and to NAWIC for putting on a fantastic event to celebrate all of our Mana Wāhine in construction.
