BPC Supervisor Gabryel Wii has become a certified International Jack-Up Barge Operators Association’s (IJUBOA) Jack-Up Barge Master. He’s built up his skills working on challenging projects around the country. Since 2023 he’s worked with BPC’s two jack-up barges, Manahau and Tuapapa, leading work on the Seaview Energy Resilience Project, the Te Ara Tupua artificial reef installation, and CentrePort wharf projects.

The IJUBOA is the globally recognised body dedicated to promoting safe and effective jack-up barge operations. Pre-Contracts Manager Alex Normandeau says that supporting BPC’s people to gain IJUBOA certification boosts the business’s marine capability and strengthens how we safely deliver complex jack-up barge work. “It also gives our clients confidence that our barge operations are in experienced hands,” Alex says. “It reinforces our commitment to safety, risk management, and the development of our marine and infrastructure teams.”
