Whakatupu Māori leadership graduation for Rex, Jesse, Mike, and Damian
Foreman Rex Buckman (Ngāti Kahu) was among the BPC team members attending the graduation ceremony after completing Fletcher Building’s Whakatupu Māori leadership programme.
Rex was stoked that he’d been encouraged to take part. “I’ve done many leadership courses before, but Whakatupu’s been great – it’s given me skills that help with work and home life”.
Since joining BPC as a labourer, Rex has worked his way up to his current role and is planning to use his Whakatupu experience to progress to a senior foreman’s role. He is pictured at Mataatua Marae receiving his certificate from Fletcher Building CEO Ross Taylor, with his manager Michael Tokoma on the right.
