NAWIC successes

Congratulations to BPC Human Resources Business Partner Amanda Byrne for winning the Excellence in Construction Award at the 2025 National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Awards.

Amanda is passionate about developing practices and programmes that support greater diversity in the construction industry. She established our Women in Construction network and has led initiatives that make a significant practical difference to our female team members, especially those working on site.

Amanda helped develop compulsory unconscious bias training for managers, which benefits all our team members across many different backgrounds and cultures, and she’s now working on a pilot programme to give our site-based staff some flexibility in working arrangements.

We’re also very proud of Quantity Surveyor Rachel Duncan, whose achievements were recognised by being awarded Highly Commended in the NAWIC Student Excellence Award.
