Celebrating CCNZ successes

The impressive achievements of our Kaitoke Flume Pipe Bridge Replacement team were recognised at the Civil Contractors New Zealand (CCNZ) National Awards, with the team winning the Category 4 ($20-$100M) Excellence Award.

Working on a challenging remote site north of Wellington, the team delivered the project for Wellington Water five months ahead of schedule. The new steel arch bridge supports a 1.5m diameter ductile iron pipe designed to withstand significant earthquakes.

We’re also very proud of our Te Ara Tupua Reef project team, Highly Commended in Category 2 ($2-$5M). The 56 pyramid shaped reef structures were precast in a satellite yard, barged to site, and precisely placed on the seabed of Wellington harbour to attract fish and enhance the marine habitat.
