Building better wharves

Three of BPC’s challenging wharf builds were highlighted at a recent Wellington meeting of the Permanent International Association of Navigational Congress (PIANC), which was streamed around the country. PIANC is the leading global knowledge partner for governments and the private sector in the design, development, and maintenance of ports, waterways, and coastal areas.

Gabi Koneski talked about the Seaview Energy Resilience Project underway for Centreport in Wellington. Chris Hewitt discussed the award-winning Bluff Wharf rebuild delivered for South Port, and Kyle Marshall (pictured) talked about the Matiu Somes Island wharf rebuild that BPC has just begun in Wellington harbour.

BPC offers substantial marine capability with the largest jack-up barge and most extensive fleet of specialist construction plant and equipment in New Zealand.
