Acclaim for Porirua WWTP
Congratulations to our Porirua WWTP team for winning Projects with a value over $2million at the Wellington Wairarapa Civil Contractors New Zealand Construction Awards at the weekend.
The project to complete hydraulic upgrades and remediation of the milliscreen channel was completed collaboratively with designer Stantec and plant operator Veolia for client Wellington Water. The project was critical to stopping the discharge of unscreened wastewater into Tītahi Bay, a significant issue to the local community.
The team worked collaboratively with Stantec during the ECI process to develop a novel solution that was successfully executed by BPC’s project team in some challenging site conditions.
