Floating Structures
We construct portable and floating raw water pump stations, in often challenging conditions, using specialist marine equipment including several jack-up-barges.
BPC adds value through early constructability engagement at the concept design phase and continuing right through to commissioning.
We work with project partners to identify the right equipment to do the job, lead times for supply and fabrication, logistics around assembly, and final installation.
Clients benefit from BPC’s advanced marine piling and ancillary works capability, such as building temporary wharves to serve as both vessel launch points and key material delivery points. We also carry out structural modifications to existing intake structures and all related civil works. Mechanical and Electrical fit out of pump platforms and automated control systems are carried out inhouse, where BPC teams work closely with specialist electrical subcontractor counterparts.
Recent successes include the floating raw water intake as part of the Waikato50 project.
