Strengthening Coromandel

Over the past six months the team has constructed a 13m high MSE wall to secure the Brett Heaven slip face and SH25 above. The wall is 12m wide at the base and 22m wide at the top.

Project Manager Brett Cookson says the team came up with some great safety-focussed initiatives that also delivered time and cost savings.

NZTA Project Manager Octariana Siahaan praised the team’s focus on safety and “exemplary stakeholder engagement”. “BPC successfully delivered one of our most challenging Coromandel repair sites and excelled implementing their temporary traffic management,” she said.
