Recognition for BPC’s people, projects, and innovation
We’re proud of our BPC people, projects, and innovative programmes announced as finalists in the Auckland Civil Contractors New Zealand 2023 Awards.
PipeWorks used a state of the art CIPP UV-cured lining system to renew the sewer line before construction began on the Remuera Gardens Stage 1 Sewer Upgrade project, renewing 75m of 900mm diameter sewer main. The team are finalists in the Projects up to $20M category, along with our team delivering the Helensville Wastewater Treatment Plant. With our project partners, BPC delivered this critical infrastructure to enable Watercare to continue to meet the growing environmental needs of Auckland’s northwest.
Our Auckland Airport Pavement Renewals team are finalists in the Projects between $20-50M category for their work on Taxiway Bravo, providing aircraft access between the domestic terminal and the runway.
Congratulations to Crane Operator Lucy Clark, selected as a finalist for the Women in Contracting Award, and to Yash Anchan, a finalist in the Young Engineer of the Year Award.
BPC is a finalist in the Excellence in Production Innovation category for our use of virtual reality tools to deliver training and development programmes, developed in partnership with SkillsVR. Our Strive programme, building skills that are valuable for our people’s work and home lives, is a finalist in the Excellence in Onsite/Management Innovation.
