Guide wall and piling works completed for Taranaki Street Pump Station
BPC’s team has completed the guide wall and piling works for the Taranaki Street Pump Station project in central Wellington.
It’s another critical infrastructure project for Wellington Water, being constructed on a tight site next to the capital’s busiest intersection and largest apartment block.
The team’s next job is to install the capping beam. Project Manager Jasper Snyder says this will enable work to begin on the first stage of the 10m deep excavation for the underground pump station.
Along with new rising main pipes, the pump station will form the first phase of the major CBD Wastewater Renewals Project to support Wellington’s growth and protect the harbour.
