Ground Engineering team set BPC piling record
Our Ground Engineering team has completed the deepest CFA piles with plunged cages that BPC has delivered.
Contracts Manager Amit Chaudhray congratulated the crew who delivered the 136 piles for a central Tauranga building for client LT McGuinness. The 750mm diameter piles vary in depth from 15 – 24 metres.
“Stretching our SR75 to its maximum depth limit, Damon Parson, Clifford D’souza, Omer Farooqui and the team hold the prestigious record of the deepest CFAs with plunged cages that BPC has ever done,” Amit says. “The team overcame challenges almost every day with blockages, re-drills and cages not going down to the required design height. We overcame a lot of issues, with everyone on the team having input.”
