Fergusson Wharf Crane Beam Extension

Construction of 58m of reinforced concrete crane rail beam. Sections of the beam were both poured to ground and suspended over water.

Work scope:

  • 19 pairs of raking steel "H" piles
  • 2 bottom driven 750mm steel tube piles

Highly relevant wharf and marine construction, cast in situ concrete beam construction, piling work, environmental management and construction within a working port.

Existing services such as power and water were present and required management throughout construction to provide continued supply.

The project was completed utilising inhouse concrete and piling staff based in Auckland.

A technical project involving driven steel raker piles, concrete and marine work.

The construction site was fully enclosed within the operational port.

BPC Auckland provided both the management and construction staff for this project.
